Review: uVe Hotel Alcobendas (Madrid, Spain)

Review Overview
THE ALVIATOR'S VERDICT

I only had a very brief stay here, though many overnighting near Madrid Airport will find this to be a good budget option. The hotel was clean and serviceable and I have nothing to complain about – just keep in mind that the hotel shuttle needs to be pre-arranged with the hotel and costs €9 per direction

4.5

In November 2025, I stayed at the uVe Hotel Alcobendas, located approximately a 15-minute drive from Madrid-Barajas Airport. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Madrid Airport, and room rates sit around the €70 range, making it a budget airport hotel option for those looking to depart out of Madrid.

I was only at this hotel for a few hours, though wanted to write a brief review detailing my experience. This is a perfectly pleasant airport hotel, though it feels quite budget, and the price can add up (especially after you consider the cost of the airport shuttle).

Booking the Hotel uVe Alcobendas

I booked a Single Room for one night at the Hotel uVe Alcobendas, which cost me US$86.22 (£65.18/HK$671). While I still encourage people to book direct with airlines 99% of the time, I don’t tend to do the same with hotels anymore, as you can get valuable points accrual opportunities when booking with portals that allow you to earn airline miles.

In this case I wasn’t earning a huge number of miles, so I decided to book using Trip.com. Why Trip.com, and not Avios Hotels, which was offering up to 12 Avios/£1 spent? That’s because I’m a few miles short of using my (almost expiring) Korean Air SkyPass miles for a flight between Seoul and Hong Kong, and Trip.com is one of the rare ways to earn SkyPass miles that doesn’t involve flying (you can’t buy Korean Air miles).

Hotel uVe Alcobendas Location and Exterior

The Hotel uVe Alcobendas is located in the Alcobendas municipality in Madrid. This isn’t close to Madrid’s city centre, though is around a 10-15 minute drive from Madrid-Barajas Airport. Why isn’t it closer? Firstly, Madrid Airport is massive, so there’s a substantial difference in drive time to Terminal 4 (which is closer to Alcobendas) vs. the other three terminals. Secondly, there are some hotels that are directly connected to Madrid’s airport terminals, though those hotels cost much more.

Since my Air Europa flight was delayed, I got to Madrid Airport’s Terminal 2 arrivals hall at 12:30 AM. At this point I figured it wasn’t worth trying to sort a shuttle with the hotel (since it would’ve cost €9 anyway), and I took an Uber to the hotel. The exterior of the building is old and uninspiring, though there was a strange charm to the way it was lit up.

There are other hotels both around the Alcobendas area, and closer to Madrid Airport – some of these even offer free shuttles. However, this is one of the lowest priced options there, even when you include a €9 shuttle transfer (you can also take a cheaper bus, though I opted against that).

Hotel uVe Alcobendas Shuttle

As one of the more important elements, you can arrange a shuttle by either emailing the hotel, or at check-in (if you’re looking to leave the hotel). The hotel shuttle runs on the hour – it meant I got to the airport quite a bit earlier than I would’ve personally hoped, though I didn’t mind that too much. I was transported on a full eight-seater car (with six others), and the driver was kind enough to help with our bags.

The shuttle costs €9 per direction, and passes through all terminals.

Hotel uVe Alcobendas Lobby and Check-In

When I got to the hotel, I was checked in by a friendly and efficient hotel associate. The lobby is incredibly plain in its design, save for the couple of red hints.

I had left my travel adapter at home in London, which wasn’t great given the amount of time I was spending in the air, and the number of countries I was transiting through. The Hotel uVe Alcobendas isn’t able to lend any adapters, though they do sell travel adapters for €8. It was a handy universal travel adapter that could easily cost more on Amazon here in the UK.

I’m a bit less of a fan of the fact that they charge for sanitary products and bandages, though.

After sorting both the adapter purchase as well as booking my shuttle out of the hotel the next morning, I headed up to my room, which was located on the first floor. The hotel hallways and public spaces feel more modern than the exterior of the hotel.

Hotel uVe Alcobendas Single Room

My single room at the Hotel uVe Alcobendas was perfectly serviceable, with a large double bed, a desk and chair, and a dedicated luggage storage platform.

I was surprised by how well-equipped the bathroom was – it was a good size, the walk-in shower had good water pressure, and there were toiletries from Sanit ECOBODY as well.

The minibar wasn’t free, however (even the water came at a cost).

Considering that I was paying <€75 for a room, and that non-budget hotels were going for well over 2-3x this, I was very happy with the room. It was well-appointed, I found the bed serviceable (if not particularly comfortable or the plushest ever), and the bathroom was comfortable to use.

Hotel uVe Alcobendas Restaurant

While I didn’t have breakfast here, breakfast costs €9. The restaurant was empty at 7 AM on the morning I was leaving.

Hotel uVe Alcobendas Gym

While I also didn’t have the opportunity to visit, there is a small gym for hotel guests to use. While the hotel touts that the gym is 24/7, it was closed when I got to the hotel at 1 AM, so I’m not sure how long it’s actually open for.

Bottom Line: Hotel uVe Alcobendas

This is a super brief review of the Hotel uVe Alcobendas, as I didn’t spend too much time there. However, I felt it was worth writing the post, just to signpost this as a good low-cost option to stay if you’re overnighting near Madrid Airport.

Have you been to the Hotel uVe Alcobendas before? What’s your favourite Madrid Airport hotel?
