Cathay Pacific has an ever-growing network, and over this month they have two new routes to launch.
Dragonair has announced that they will run 2x weekly service (Thursdays, Sundays) to Hiroshima from August 16th, 2015.
Hiroshima, Japan
The route will be run on an Airbus A321 featuring 24 business class seats and 148 economy class seats, which surprised me at first (as 24 business class seats can be hard to fill up) but I realise the amount of business travellers that want to take the route.

Dragonair Airbus A330-300 Economy Class (same as A321)
And the timetable is as follows:
KA 350 HKG – HIJ 12:10 – 16:45 321 Thu
KA 350 HKG – HIJ 13:10 – 17:45 321 Sun
KA 351 HIJ – HKG 19:00 – 21:45 321 Thu, Sun
As seen, the timings are mostly planned for leisure travellers in Hong Kong hoping to make the most of their time in Hiroshima by arriving earlier and departing later at night.
Dragonair used to run leisure flights to Hiroshima, but given it’s only a two hour flight from Hong Kong, it took them longer than I would’ve expected to find the flight viable.
Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific has announced that they will run 4x weekly flights from Hong Kong to Dusseldorf (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays) from September 1st, 2015.
Düsseldorf, Germany
The route will be run by a four-class 777-300ER featuring six first class seats, 53 business class seats, 34 premium economy seats and 182 economy seats.

I’m interested – two oneworld hubs that Cathay Pacific offers connections to!
Who’s in for these new flights?
