At Young Travelers of Hong Kong, we’ve made a lot of changes last November, and I think they’re staying for a while (I’ll just say that we’re taking desperate measures to keep the blog on the line).
We’ve updated the Trip Report Index – well, we haven’t updated it, we’ve just added to it.
We definitely haven’t finished the update, but from the new “Airlines” page, I think y’all will see where we’re going.
I can immediately notice that the page isn’t as ergonomic as we’ve hoped (there’s no dropdown/table/search option), so we don’t think that this new feature can replace the Trip Report Index, though there are some upsides that made us create the document:
- There are pictures, which do take up a bit of space, but at least you can immediately see how the product is like before you read the review
- It has the date alongside it without making the page feel “tacky”
Apart from the page, we’ve also added those awarded with one of the “Best” or “Worst” of 2014 (we’ll be having our best and worst of this year at the end of the year, and we’ll add to it then). Some people might come in with expectations at the trip reports, especially the older ones, and I’d like to show the highlights.
Sucker, BA!
Also, I’ll be adding the pictures after I fly the flight, not after I post the review, so there’ll be some kind of “teaser”.
Of course, the hotel/lounge reviews are yet to come, and I’ll add the city reviews and other reviews as well. Stay tuned for such changes!
